The Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery Institute of the University of California Irvine has been approved for a fully integrated residency program. Over the next year, we will be transitioning into this program. The program will accept two (2) medical students for a 6 year educational training experience in Plastic Surgery. Educational oversight of this program will be under the direction of the Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery Institute. At the successful completion of this program, the candidate will be able to sit for his/her boards in Plastic Surgery.
During this transition process, we will be accepting 1 resident that has completed General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics or OMF Surgery for a 3 year request training program in Plastic Surgery. This educational experience encompasses a multi-institutional training experience with world renowned faculty, allowing the candidate to sit for his/her boards in Plastic Surgery upon successful completion of the program. |
