About Dr. Long
Dr. Emily Long is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who completed her training at Harvard Medical School, where she cared for patients across several internationally recognized academic medical centers. During her training, she developed expertise in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body while also performing complex reconstructive procedures using advanced microsurgical techniques.
Dr. Long believes that listening carefully to each patient’s goals is just as important as the operation itself. Every consultation is centered on education, shared decision-making, and developing a personalized treatment plan that reflects the patient’s anatomy, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals
Dr. Long has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presented her research at national plastic surgery meetings, and received competitive research funding to advance innovation in aesthetic surgery. As an academic plastic surgeon, she remains committed to advancing the field of aesthetic surgery through research, innovation, and education while integrating the latest evidence-based techniques into every patient’s care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Long has long been passionate about dance, visual art, and photography. These experiences continue to shape her appreciation for balance, proportion, and natural beauty, informing an approach to aesthetic surgery that combines artistic vision with meticulous surgical precision.
Dr. Long believes the most rewarding aspect of her work is helping patients feel more confident while preserving what makes them uniquely beautiful.
Surgical Philosophy
“I believe exceptional plastic surgery requires both technical excellence and artistic judgment. Every procedure begins with a deep understanding of anatomy, meticulous surgical planning, and an appreciation for balance, proportion, and harmony.
My recommendations are grounded in evidence-based medicine and tailored to each patient’s unique goals, anatomy, and stage of life.
Rather than following trends or creating exaggerated results, my goal is to achieve elegant, natural-looking outcomes that complement each patient’s individual features and stand the test of time. I strive for results that help patients look refreshed, confident, and authentically themselves.”
